Restoring the Hidden Folder Options

Folder Options is one of the sub menu on the Tool Bar Menu. Folder Options are often targeted for attack by viruses. For the Folder Options is a feature that can recognize the virus, so its presence was greatly feared by the virus, especially the local virus.
Lots of Indonesian local virus that attacked computers by eliminating Folder Options. It also turned off some features of Windows to keep its existence perched on your computer. This feature is often turned off Folder Options, Run, and the Registry. So when all three of these features can not run then you can be sure your computer infected by a virus. At this time we only discuss how to display the Folder Options. Here are the steps:

1. Open Notepad (select one of the easiest for you)
   • Start> All Programs> Accessories> Notepad
   • Win key + R> type notepad> enter (if not disable by virus)
2. Copy paste the following text in notepad.
   
   [HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Policies \ Explorer]
   "NoFolderOptions "= dword: 00000001


3. After that, save the file.
   File> Save or Ctrl + S.
   In the file name written up to you, but ended with the words ". Reg" [dot reg]. For example: Folder.reg
4. Run the file in a way you can double click. If there is a warning click Yes and OK.
5. Last Log Off your computer (start> log off),
6. then log in again. See the changes in Tools menu, Folder Options appear again.
